The birth of my infatuation or perhaps I should say my obsession with photography began in the mid nineties. Then my main subjects were my children, since my children have left the nest for many years now my passion for photography has never faded but rather grown in a different direction. I have discovered that beauty is never ending, taking on forms that I could have never imagined. I feel blessed that my world has expanded through photography and hope my passion never weakens.

Taking a Break

I will be taking a break from my blog temporarily. Unfortunately my mother's cancer has spread and I will spending a lot of time in Michigan. At 88 years old I can't imagine that her body will be able to fight for itself as easily as if she was younger. I only hope and pray that she does not suffer. I will be bringing my camera as Michigan does offer some very nice photographic opportunities, especially with fall foliage arriving soon. Photographing is good therapy for me, as I can not imagine that this journey will be an easy one, emotionally and physically for my mother as just emotionally for myself.

Prayers for mother is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Oh Boy!!!

What can I say except that I'm a slacker. Heading out for sure this weekend to start taking new pictures of the Cincinnati skyline. The Great American Tower is finished from the outside, they finally took the crane down too which is what I have been waiting for, woop woop. Night time pictures will have to wait until the interior is complete, they have temporary lights installed in the building that really makes for an ugly night shot. IMO

Happy Labor Day

I spent my Labor Day holiday in fine fashion, woke up, messed around on the computer, watched a movie, went out to lunch, came home for a while, went back out to get some tea, believe it or not McDonald's has some pretty good tea, came home watched some tv, went back out to get some dinner, I had a no cooking theme going today, well that and no food in the house, so after dinner messed around on the computer a bit, got off my butt and went to the grocery store and now here I sit writing a post for the blog, as you can see no photos today. I think however, I will plan a sunrise photo opp this week, wonder how that will work out for me. We'll see.

Hope it was a safe holiday weekend for everyone.

My Evening Out

Well I headed out into the evening with lots of photo opps in mind, what I didn't expect was to leave my polarizer on my lens and ended up with photos that just didn't really make the cut. Oh well, here is one of the Roebling bridge that was just decent so I thought I would add it.
