Gloomy Day at the Cabin

I need to go out but all this rain makes me want to cuddle up on the couch and watch tv.

The bird feeding station is empty. Guess they don't like the rain.

Cincinnati All Lit Up

The Bengals played a Monday night game so I thought I would take advantage of the city being so lit up. Not exactly pleased with the results but here are some of the photos I took that night.

Arrived in San Diego

I arrived this evening in San Diego, the flight was just perfect, no turbulence, it took 3.5 hours air time, it was a little long for my first time since 2003 but I handled it almost like a pro...almost.

Thank you Delta for such a great flight, while checking in at the kiosk I had a real nice conversation with a Delta employee that helped me get checked in, she gave me a free voucher for a drink or headset, I used it for a free headset. The flight attendants were great and let me stand in the back to stretch, I probably bothered them a bit but they were so nice and didn't let on that I was annoying.

Again Thanks Delta, you're my favorite airline.

Today is my son's 29th birthday, he is celebrating in San Diego.

San Diego or Bust

I'll be heading to San Diego in just 3 days, my daughter is getting married to a fantastic guy. I'm extremely nervous about flying which is difficult, what a mother will do for her children.

Stay tuned for many pictures next week, I'll be back on the 12th.

Mom is doing well, still going for lots of tests, her attitude is amazing, spirits are good as well. Today is her B-Day...Happy 88th Birthday Mom!!!. Praying for many more to come.

Taking a Break

I will be taking a break from my blog temporarily. Unfortunately my mother's cancer has spread and I will spending a lot of time in Michigan. At 88 years old I can't imagine that her body will be able to fight for itself as easily as if she was younger. I only hope and pray that she does not suffer. I will be bringing my camera as Michigan does offer some very nice photographic opportunities, especially with fall foliage arriving soon. Photographing is good therapy for me, as I can not imagine that this journey will be an easy one, emotionally and physically for my mother as just emotionally for myself.

Prayers for mother is greatly appreciated.

Oh Boy!!!

What can I say except that I'm a slacker. Heading out for sure this weekend to start taking new pictures of the Cincinnati skyline. The Great American Tower is finished from the outside, they finally took the crane down too which is what I have been waiting for, woop woop. Night time pictures will have to wait until the interior is complete, they have temporary lights installed in the building that really makes for an ugly night shot. IMO
