The birth of my infatuation or perhaps I should say my obsession with photography began in the mid nineties. Then my main subjects were my children, since my children have left the nest for many years now my passion for photography has never faded but rather grown in a different direction. I have discovered that beauty is never ending, taking on forms that I could have never imagined. I feel blessed that my world has expanded through photography and hope my passion never weakens.

17 December 2011

So my electricity went out today, shock-a-roo, so I grabbed my camera and headed on out. It was really overcast (mother nature's diffuser) so I cropped out a lot of the sky. I think my balance is a little off as every one of my photos came out crooked.

I know this photo looks a little busy but I like it that way.

Headed to Bellevue Kentucky

So I headed out to Bellevue to find me some lunch, ended up at Subway then Hooter's parking lot to eat. Yes I said Hooter's. Managed a few photographs whilst I was there.

They have nicknamed this bridge the Big Mac Bridge, because of the golden arches. Don't blame me I didn't come up with it.

The top of Mt. Adams.

I wonder if geese taste like chicken?...hehehe just kidding. I wonder who wrote the name Johanna on the bridge in the background?

Around My Neighborhood

I took a little tour of the park around my house. This is such a great park to hang around in. I can't believe this is December. We are getting into the low 60's this week. Un-bee-leev-able.

We got new signs all around the park. Awesome!

Don't forget to visit the museum while you're here in the park.

This is part of the golf course.

From my yard.

Ummmm bush.

Prisoner's Lake.

What can I say...even the bathrooms are awesome.

Around Covington

So I decided to get my lazy butt out of the house and took my camera with me. I just stayed in the area, these are some of the photos I took around the Covington area.

The Ohio River is rising again, not sure if it has peaked yet or if it is going to rise more.

I see dead people.

Guess you learn something new everyday. Had no idea that Covington was named after a general. "Do you think this hat makes me look fat?"

Last time I checked the top condo is still available. If you are interested I believe the list price is affordable to those of you that make as much as Donald Trump. A mere $5,000,000.00 and it is yours. Holy over the top Batman.

Rest for Pets

I know I haven't been blogging much, the weather has been super wet and bad weather just doesn't motivate me much. We had a break in the rain so I let Jessie outside, thought I would bring the camera with me, it was so cloudy out that I had to use a flash. She was such a crazy dog at times. She doesn't care how muddy the yard is, she just wants to play. She did manage to calm down enough so I could get some photos of her.

Okay well she wasn't to calm here. Crazy Dog!!!

I live in the woods with no grass anywhere, so I don't rake leaves, no judging please.

I know that you are suppose to get eye level when photographing pets but no way I was getting into the mud. Not worth it.

Yucky

Yesterdays rain left the yard in a huge mess. No escape from the muddy yard this time.

Go Blue!!! Go Lions!!!

So this weekend my son is in Michigan. His girlfriend for his 30th birthday bought him tickets to the Michigan game (on Saturday) then the Lions game (on Sunday). Best girlfriend ever!!! Someone forgot to buy Mom tickets though, geez. I begged and pleaded, tried all the guilt tactics, he still decided to take his girlfriend instead of me. I mean c'mon I gave birth to the little crap head and he picks his girlfriend over me? Yep off my Christmas list this year.

UPDATE!!! So the little crap head ended up having a fantastic weekend. Both Michigan & the Lions won.
