As you can obviously tell my enthusiasm for taking photographs has pretty much been non existent. This winter has driven me to stay indoors. I have always been a winter person, love the snow, never really complained about the cold, this year with snow storm after snow storm, cold temperatures that have made me feel as though I am living in the arctic and now starting shortly our first ice storm. UGH!! I have found venturing out into the world a complete struggle.
I pass by my camera every day, stare at it with frustration hoping that today I will be inspired, then I walk to the kitchen to check out the temperature, any motivation that I had felt quickly disappears, temperature outside is 8 degrees, another day goes by, my camera will not see light today either.
One difference that tonight brings is I have actually started surfing the web again to find the inspiration that I have so desperately been searching for. I have had a desire to photograph urban decay, urban landscaping and step out of my comfort zone and try my hand at street photography. I thought that since this is quite unique for me that I would create a new blog. I will post the address for the new blog on here. Stay Tuned!!!
Just so you know though, today doesn't look and tomorrow, well it doesn't look good either. I hope soon, very soon.
The birth of my infatuation or perhaps I should say my obsession with photography began in the mid nineties. Then my main subjects were my children, since my children have left the nest for many years now my passion for photography has never faded but rather grown in a different direction. I have discovered that beauty is never ending, taking on forms that I could have never imagined. I feel blessed that my world has expanded through photography and hope my passion never weakens.

Lake St. Clair Near the Condo. New Baltimore, MI
Been so cold around here thought I would upload pictures of the lake to remind me that summer really does exists. I usually do not mind winter at all but this year it has been exceptionally cold and snowy.
