I Love Winter and Snow But.....

Today - Snow beginning tonight.
Tuesday - Freezing Rain & Snow.
Wednesday - Snow Flurries
Thursday - Take a breath.
Friday - Snow.
Saturday - Ummmm yep you guessed it, SNOW.
This is the craziest December I can remember. Coldest on record too, yippie, can't wait to see what January brings.

Northern Kentucky Mini Storm

I took these photos with my point & shoot. I've come to realize that point & shoots are really only good for those times when you can't really carry your dslr. Or in this case when you are just plain lazy.

We didn't get the full impact of the storm, about 4" of snow tops. Missed most of it mostly because it happened over night. Greg tried to go to work but the roads were so slick he turned around and ended up coming home. Kentucky DOT decided it really wasn't necessary to pre-treat the roads, ummmm who ever made that decision should be fired.

Radar as of 10:34p.m.

According to the radar the storm is here but nothing is hitting the ground so maybe the air is still to dry.

Woot Woot!!!

Another storm is a comin. This has to be the most storms I have seen in December in the Cincinnati area since I moved here in 2001 and it is only December 15th. Stay tune for pictures, I'm sure they will be pretty. Snow in the woods is always beautiful, not to mention how peaceful it is.

This video was taken as the snow was just starting to get good. We have had several inches since then. Can't wait to wake up in the morning to see how much snow we really have.

First Real Snow Fall of the Season in Northern Kentucky

Thought I would go out tonight and take some night time photos with my new point & shoot. Didn't do badly. Some of the snow has already melted but it looks as though we got few inches, at least it looked that way this afternoon. I did not do any post processing, not sure I'll ever do much of that with my point & shoot since I cannot shoot in RAW.
